Dept. of Social Welfare bids farewell to outgoing director
Dimapur, March 3 (EMN): The department of Social Welfare, govt. Of Nagaland organised a farewell programme in honour of its outgoing Director, Michael Zaren at the Directorate conference hall on Feb. 28.
The update informed from the department informed that the director had championed the true essence of social welfare service in the state through his vibrant personality and professional expertise exhibited in various capacities. He entered the department as district welfare officer in 1991 and retired as director on Feb. 28, 2022.
Delivering his farewell speech, the outgoing director expressed appreciation for the overwhelming love and co-operation shown towards him. He advised the department to keep the golden rule of success, through team work and warned of the dangers of working in isolation, it said.
Farewell speeches were delivered by Bodeno S Colo, addl. secretary to the Social Welfare department, Tosheli Zhimomi, OSD and a host of officers and staff, as they extolled the simplicity, accessibility and humbleness of the outgoing director. They also conveyed their prayers and good wishes upon him.
Earlier the programme was chaired by T Neingusalie, asst. director, while Wango Langsym, asst. director invoked God’s blessing and Hutoi Sema, dy. Director said the vote of thanks.
Meanwhile, the department welcomed its new Director, Tosheli Zhimomi and conveyed its best wishes and prayers to carry out her duties.
