DEO Wokha unveils phase-wise training plan for polling personnel

DIMAPUR — The deputy commissioner (DC) and district election officer (DEO) of Wokha, Ajit Kumar Ranjan, has announced the training schedule for polling personnel and grade IV staff in connection with the upcoming general election to the Lok Sabha.

According to a circular, the first phase of training for polling officials and grade IV staff has been scheduled to begin on March 26 at Government Higher Secondary School, Wokha.

The training will be conducted in batches as per the following schedule:

— March 26, 9:30 am

Presiding and first polling officers (serial numbers 1 to 125 for males and 1 to 50 for females) of all assembly segments.

Second and third polling officers (serial numbers 1 to 125 for males and 1 to 50 for females) of all assembly segments.

— March 26, 10 am

Grade IV staff (serial numbers 1 to 250 for males and 1 to 100 for females) of all assembly segments.

— March 27, 9:30 am

Presiding (serial numbers 126 to 249 for males and 51 to 100 for females) and first polling officers (serial numbers 126 to 250 for males and 51 to 100 for females) of all assembly segments.

Second (serial numbers 126 to 248 for males and 51 to 100 for females) and third polling officers (serial numbers 126 to 250 for males and 51 to 100 for females) of all assembly segments.

All polling personnel and grade IV staff have been instructed to submit a photocopy of their EPIC card/Service ID and two passport size photographs during the first phase of training to avail EDC/ID cards.

The concerned departmental nodal officers have been directed to inform all requisitioned officials and grade IV staff from their respective departments.
