DEO Kohima informs schools

DIMAPUR — All the state government and central schools in Kohima and Tseminyu districts are directed to conduct activities under Janbhagidari events/ peoples’ participation from June 1 to the 15th at their respective schools basing on the G20 theme “One earth, one family, one future.”

The district education officer-cum-district project coordinator of DMA Samagra Shiksha, Kohima, Emillo Patton, has informed that Janbhagidari events or peoples’ participation was aimed at creating mass community awareness about G20 foundational literacy and numeracy, digital initiatives and National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 by ensuring mass involvement of community.

The action plans for the Janbhagidari events/ people’s participation on foundational literacy and numeracy at the districts/ block-level included workshop/ seminar to be attended by at least 100 participants, walkathon and plogging;

orientation of teachers on G20 EdWG, NEP 2020 and foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN) at schools level and singing of the state NIPUN theme song, besides conducting literary competition on quiz, essay writing, singing, story-telling, debates, painting, poster campaigns etc.

It would also include walkathon/ plogging, meeting of the school management committee (SMC)/ school management development committee (SMDC) or parents-teachers association.

It stated that the suggested activities should be conducted on a daily basis starting from June 1 to the 15th and document photos and short video clips, which should be forwarded to the WhatsApp Numbers: 9856742130, 6009140206 and 9089205945 before 2 pm every day. It added that the District Mission Authority (DMA) Samagra Shiksha Kohima would compile documents and forward it to the State Mission Authority (SMA), Samagra Shiksha Nagaland for onward submission to the Ministry of Education, GOI.
