DIMAPUR— The Nagaland Dental Welfare Association (NDWA) on Saturday extended its support to the Combined Technical Association of Nagaland’s (CTAN) demand for re-examination of electrical engineering (diploma and degree) papers of CTSE-2023.

The association alleged that this is not the first instance of NPSC negligence and errors in question setting, whether it is NCS, CESE, CTSE, agri-allied, or others.

In a press note, the association said that it has learned that the question papers for CTSE-2023 were such that the majority of the questions were easily visible and accessible even without breaking the seal.

“It was more like questions printed on loose papers and stapled together with a seal in the middle. The question papers of any competitive exam should be such that no question should be visible or accessible unless and until the invigilator instructs to break the seal,” it read.

The NDWA has expressed grief for the inconvenience that may result if the NPSC fails to address the issue within the time frame specified, affecting serious aspirants whose interviews and exams are scheduled to take place during this time period. It has assured any kind of help in this regard.

It also appealed to all right-thinking citizens, aspirants, and organisations to extend their support ‘in the process of pursuing justice’.

It may be noted that CTAN has threatened to launch agitation outside the NPSC office starting August 11 if the commission fails to conduct re-examination.

In a statement on Friday, CTAN stated that the Graduate Electrical Engineers’ Association of Nagaland (GEEAN) had served an ultimatum on August 3 for re-examination; however, the NPSC did not accept it and sought seven days, which ends on August 10.
