It has acknowledged the state government for providing relief package to stranded students, working professionals and patients across the nation besides arranging the Shramik special train for their transportation to their home state. The special train departed from Delhi on June 14 and reached Dimapur on June 16.

He has thanked the government of Nagaland and NCT of Delhi, NDMC, DDA and the Northeast Frontier Railway.

He also thanked the railway protection force for providing security to the returnees and landing them home safely. He also appreciated the CRPF and CISF for providing food and snacks at various stops to the returnees not only to the occupants of the special train but also to those who travelled by bus from different parts of Uttar Pradesh on June 4. It further thanked all those IAS, IPS, IFS and paramilitary officers, who promptly responded to their calls even at odd hours.

The Delhi Nagaland Elders’ Community also expressed gratitude to the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee and the Government of NCT of Delhi for providing lunch and dinner respectively on the day of departure of the said special train. It stated that lunch was provided to all the returnees, government personnel and various other people present at the Dr. Ambedkar stadium.

Delhi Nagaland Elders Community has further thanked the Nagaland Emergency Centre Delhi for constantly providing dry rations to more than 2000 households and individuals since the first lockdown. It mentioned that the medical emergency team, under the aegis of the Nagaland House Delhi, has been providing necessary assistance for both Delhi resident and non-resident patients.

The elders community has also thanked all the tribal units, student bodies and churches, who have stood firm with them in prayer. It also conveyed condolence to all the bereaved family members, who have lost their dear ones due to Covid-19. In an advice to those who have reached home safely, they urged them to invest their human capital acquired in metro cities and build the homeland.
