DEFCC holds pipping ceremony of promoted officers

Officials of the department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and newly promoted officers during the pipping ceremony in Kohima on Tuesday.

DIMAPUR — The pipping ceremony of the promoted officers under the Southern Territorial Circle, Department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (DEFCC), was held at the conference hall, Forest office complex, Kohima, on Tuesday. 

The ceremony was held in the presence of Velatso Demo, working plan officer, Kohima; Chisayi, DFO Kohima; Dr. Sevono Seletsu, DCF Kohima, and Yhuntilo Kent, RFO Tseminyu, an update stated.

Speaking during the ceremony, Hemant Bhaskar Kamdi, CF (Hq) and CF (STC) in-charge, said that the pipping ceremony was observed in honour of the newly promoted uniformed staff. He stated that being uniformed staff and promoted, they should develop a sense of pride as they were promoted because of their good records and sincerity in executing their duties.

Kamdi further congratulated all the promotees and encouraged them to work hard in safeguarding the state’s rich biodiversity.

During the ceremony, Thenuvikho Khizho, Medolezo Kire and Neivotuo Pienyu were promoted to the rank of range forest officer from deputy forest ranger, while three other staff namely Imnasenla Imsong, Neitho and Rudosielie Medom were promoted to the rank of deputy forest ranger from forester-I.

The newly promoted officers also shared their experiences of their earlier works and their commitment to undertake their future assignments.

The pipping ceremony was chaired by Dr. Sevono Seletsu, DCF Kohima.
