Dedication programme for WTC members held

WOKHA — A dedication programme for the elected Wokha Town Council members was held at the VDB conference hall on Friday.

The event was attended by town council administrator and ADC of Wokha, Renbomo Ezung, wherein a dedicatory prayer was said by Rev. Abemo Jungio, pastor of Wokha Town Baptist Church.

Speaking at the programme, Ezung called upon the councilors to work for community development and progress with true sense of belongingness and be dedicated to their work. He also encouraged the councilors to work collectively for the community rather than relying on individual opinion.

He further encouraged them to overcome challenge and remain patient in performing their assigned duties.

The chairperson of the Wokha Town Council, Khozamo Lotha, informed that official appointment is still pending but would hold office duties by August 27. He also informed that they are ready and fully committed to work with dedication and honesty.

The deputy chairperson, Nzano P Kikon, reassured the community that the 15 member team (WTC) is prepared to work hard and called upon the citizens to cooperate in fulfilling their responsibilities for the betterment of the town.

The program was chaired by head assistant of WTC, Zubenthung Jungio, while an invocation prayer was said by Deacon Nrikhon.

The welcome address was delivered by UDA of WTC , Tsenyani Lotha, and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by councilor, Myingthungo Kikon.
