Dimapur, Nov. 4 (EMN): The Central GST Commissionerate Dimapur conducted a debate competition for the post graduate students of Tetso College on Thursday, as part of the ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ being observed from October 31 to November 6 in all Central government offices and public sector enterprises, banks and other institutions across the country.

Two teams of four students each participated in the debate on the topic: “Corruption is the root cause of the Indian economy’s decline”, said an update from Central GST Dimapur. The team speaking against the motion was adjudged the winner of the competition, it added.

Certificates and prizes were given away to the winners of the competition and the participants by Deputy Commissioner, Thejaselhou Yhome.

Speaking at the event, Director of Tetso College, Kvulo Lorin encouraged the students to increase their knowledge and improve communication skills by participating in such activities. While thanking the organisers for conducting the programme at the college, Lorin said the institute looked forward to further interaction with the GST department in the future.
