DIMAPUR — Dimapur District Citizens’ Forum (DDCF) has resolved to support the Dimapur District Grievances and Welfare Committee under the aegis of Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) in the fight against rampant illegal taxation within Dimapur district.
The resolution to this effect was taken during its executive meeting held in its office on Saturday in the presence of its affiliated tribes and communities, a DDCF press release stated issued by its media cell.
The house also discussed on the absence of roof/ shelter at Dimapur railway station Platform No. 2 and 3 and the obstruction at the foot overbridge towards Platform No. 2 and 3 from the foot overbridge. In this regard, the house resolved to approach the concerned authorities.
Speaking at the meeting, DDCF advisor, Joseph Lemtur, briefed the members on the progress of DDCF and encouraged them to work hand-in-hand with Naga Council Dimapur for the progress and development of the district. He also highlighted the existing plan for construction of road from Amar Mill (Nagaland Gate) to Burma camp to ease the traffic congestion.
The meeting was chaired by its vice president, Vikato Achumi, while a prayer was said by another vice president, Temsupok Jamir, and the welcome address was delivered by its president, Y Kikon.
