Dimapur, Dec. 4 (EMN): Reiterating its stand not to entertain any form of taxation, donation or fund drive, the Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) called upon the various organisations, unions or individuals not to mar the festive spirit and peaceful atmosphere by indulging in illegal taxation or donation but enable the business community to partake in the festivities without tension.

A DCCI’s statement issued by its president Akashe Zhimomi has appreciated all shops and business establishments which have cleaned and decorated their respective shops in tune with the festive spirit. It also requested those shops which have not yet decorated their shops to do the same at the earliest. As informed earlier, it stated that DCCI members would undertake inspection of all shops and markets and give away prizes to best decorated shops and markets.

DCCI also reminded all shops and markets to open their shutters on Sundays to facilitate shoppers, both within and from neighbouring states. It further appealed to all the shops to strictly follow the SOPs and Covid-19 safety guidelines.

Meanwhile, DCCI has conveyed festive season greetings to all the citizens of Dimapur, irrespective of communities and religions. It hoped that the ‘Prince of Peace’ would light up every hearth and fill every heart with peace and goodwill.
