DCCI president-elect prioritises ‘improving economy’

Dimapur, Sep 13 (EMN): Former grievance cell convenor and president elect of the Dimapur District Chamber of Commerce and Industries (DCCI), Akashe K Zhimomi, today underlined his vision focussing in all areas of commerce and industry by providing opportunity to learn, share and grow both as business and as a person besides protecting the consumers’ rights.
Speaking at the induction programme held at Hotel Saramati this afternoon, Akashe stressed on stable environment to support entrepreneurships, investment and job creation. To sustain the State’s economy, he called upon the members to play proactive role by instilling entrepreneurial spirit amongst the younger generation.
Akashe also urged the members to work together towards improving the economic, civic, and cultural wellbeing of the area. Stating that Dimapur has a unique and different taste in comparison to other cities in India, he exhorted the members to keep the city as good as any other city.
Meanwhile, he has thanked the Almighty God, Yambemo Lotha, pastor of Lotha Baptist Church, Dimapur, and all well wishers for their presence in the programme.
It may be mentioned here that Akashe Zhimomi was elected as DCCI president following the unprecedented demise of its former president Hokivi Chishi.
DCCI office bearers for the tenure 2017-20 will be led by Akashe K Zhimomi as president; Khegholi Awomi, Baljit Singh, Welhipe Khape as vice presidents; Sanjay Sethi as general secretary; Shikuto Achumi, Chandu Agarwal, A Rahman, and Ashish Deb as secretaries; Benjamin K Yeptho, and Tino Jamir as joint secretaries; Hokuto Jimo as organiser; Mahesh Koteja as treasurer; Khetoshe Aye (George), and Rajeev Singh as joint secretaries; Nagali Choudhury (Chishi), and Helen Gonmei as women secretaries.
Public grievance cell will be headed by Omega Yepthomi as convenor, Viniho Shohe, Keyegho Aye, H Hokugha Awomi, Debu Dutta, and Abu Tanvir as members, while Hukavi A Zhimo will be the legal advisor.
