DIMAPUR — In view of the upcoming Lok Sabha election, the deputy commissioner (DC) of Zunheboto, Rahul Bhanudas Mali, has sought cooperation of the Dobashis (DBs) with the administration and give their best to ensure free and fair polling as they had done in the past elections.

Mali stated this during a consultative meeting with the DBs at Zunheboto town hall on Saturday. He explained that the main reason for calling the meeting was to encourage one another for free and fair election, stated a DIPR report.

Describing the DBs as foot soldiers of the administration, he urged them to refrain from campaigning or involving in politics being government servants. Besides, he also advised them to work sincerely for the welfare of the public.

Meanwhile, Mali assured the DBs to extend all possible assistance from the administration to solve their problems.

The EAC of Zunheboto headquarters, Mopling M Phom, highlighted the role of Dobashis. He also advised them to avoid shortcut means while taking up any kind of case as it hampers the confidence of the public.

Short speech was delivered by Vikheho Yeptho, PA to DC, and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Shikato Yeptho, district Head DB.
