Kohima, Sep. 1 (EMN): Deputy Commissioner and chairman of district task force for Covid-19, Zunheboto, Peter Lichamo informed that no village authority should impose restriction on movement of people or vehicles in the entire district.
The DC stated this in an order following a meeting of the DTF and ZCMC on September 1. It stated that the house had made various decisions superseding all previous orders by his office with immediate effect.
According to the order, the weekly lockdown on Wednesday and Friday has been lifted and no movement permit would be required for intra and inter-district movement of vehicles and people. The new order stated that shops should remain open till 4 pm on all days except Sundays and unloading of essential commodities would not be allowed from 9 am to 2 pm within the town.
Barber shops, saloons and beauty parlours should open subjected to compliance of safety protocols to be issued by Zunheboto Town Council (ZTC), the order stated. It also stated that movement of commercial passenger vehicles would be allowed subject to compliance of safety protocols while fare chart would be issued by the Zunheboto district transport authority.
Proper wearing of masks, maintaining social distancing and other safety protocols should be followed at all times, it added.
