Dimapur, Jan. 30: In view of the precarious situation over conduct of Phek District Games and Sports Association tournament pertaining to issue between the two nomenclature of Khezha and Kuzhatephe range, the district administration has restrained conduct of the PDSA tournament at Phek or elsewhere in Phek district till such time the jury board of CPO bring an amicable and permanent solution on the issue. PDSA tournament was scheduled at Phek from February 7 to 14.
Finding that the issue was found to be serious and contentious to both the groups, the matter was referred to the jury board under Chakhesang Public Organisation, but the matter is still pending settlement.
The venue of PDSA tournament has been changed from Pfutsero to Phek without proper consultation with the concerned hosting range.As it pose serious law and order situation in the district headquarters as well as in Pfutsero, the district administration ordered restrain to the conduct of PDSA tournament at Phek or elsewhere in Phek district till such time the jury board of CPO brought an amicable and permanent solution on the issue.
