DC Peren announces training schedule for polling officers

DIMAPUR — Deputy Commissioner (DC) and District Election Officer (DEO) Peren, Vineet Kumar, has informed all concerned about the training schedule for polling officers for the 18th Lok Sabha Election.

According to a DIPR report, training for presiding officers (male and female) will be held on March 26 at town hall, Peren town. Training for first polling officers (male) will take place at PTWWO hall (ground floor) and for first polling officers (female) at PTWWO hall (upper floor).

On March 27, training sessions will be conducted for second polling officers (male and female) at town hall, Peren town. Additionally, third polling officers (male) will receive training at PTWWO hall (ground floor), while third polling officers (female) will undergo training at PTWWO hall (upper floor).

All personnel have been asked to arrive at their respective training halls by 9:30 am.

He also mentioned that the tentative schedule for the second phase of training is set for April 8–9, while the tentative schedule for the third phase of training, updates, and evaluation for polling officers will be on April 15.

During the first round of training, all polling personnel attending the training on the scheduled date and time have been instructed to bring two passport-sized photographs in an envelope, along with the following details: name, age, designation, assembly constituency, polling station where enrolled as a voter, serial number in the e-roll, and contact number (preferably with WhatsApp).

Furthermore, Kumar has warned that any absence from the training sessions will be treated seriously and be liable for disciplinary action.
