DC Noklak notifies on restrictions at helipad

DIMAPUR — The deputy commissioner of Noklak has informed that unauthorised gathering of large crowds and activities like photography and videography in the helipad during landing and takeoff are strictly prohibited.

This is for safety concerns as reckless behaviours pose substantial risks to helicopter, pilots and the spectators alike, a DIPR report stated.

The service personnel have also been cautioned to adopt safety and security measures for helipad operations in order to ensure the safety and security of all individuals and aircraft operating in the area.

The following restrictions have been implemented in the vicinity of the helipad with immediate effect:

Overcrowding – Unauthorised access to the helipad area is strictly prohibited and the spectators are not allowed within a 300-metre radius of the helipad during landing and take-off. Only authorised personnel with valid identification shall be permitted within the helipad perimeter.

Photography and videography – Photography and videography are strictly prohibited within the helipad area. No cameras, drones or recording devices shall be operated within the helipad perimeter. Authorised media personnel shall obtain prior permission from the helipad administrator.

Deployment and enforcement – The Superintendent of Police, Noklak shall deploy adequate security personnel. The head dobashi, deputy commissioner office, will detail a minimum of two dobashis to coordinate with the police. The security personnel and dobashis shall monitor the helipad area, enforce the restrictions outlined in this order, prevent unauthorised access and maintain law and order.

Exceptions – Authorised personnel conducting official business and pre-approved media and filming activities.

Penalties – Failure to comply with this order may result in, removal from the premises, confiscation of equipment, legal action and revocation of access privileges.
