DC Mon revises rates for commercial vehicles

Dimapur, Oct. 20 (EMN): In a partial modification to its earlier notification concerning the rate of inter-district commercial passenger vehicles issued on September 15, the deputy commissioner of Mon, Thavaseelan K, has revised the rates of inter-district commercial passengers vehicles (bus).

According to the revised rate, the bus fare from Mon to Kohim would cost INR 1050 per head for a maximum 21 number of passengers out of the total 32 seats, while the fare for sleepers would cost INR 1250 per head for a minimum 21 numbers of passengers out of the total 34 seats.

The fare from Mon to Dimapur would cost INR 800 per head for a minimum 21 passengers out of the total 34 seats, while the fare from Aboi to Dimapur would cost INR 1050 per head for a minimum 8 passengers out of the total 15 seats, a DIPR report stated on Tuesday.

The DC also informed that the driver/ owner of the vehicle should strictly comply with the above mentioned rates and also maintained the fixed maximum number of passengers per vehicle. He warned that defaulters would be penalised as per the laws adding a fine amounting to INR 1000 would be charged per access passenger.

The notification further stated that the rates and passengers limitation would come in force with immediate effect till further notice.
