DC Mon inaugurates vegetable market

Dimapur, July 18 (EMN): The deputy commissioner of Mon, Thavaseelan K, inaugurated a local vegetable market at Konyak Nyupuh Sheko Khong (KNSK) building in Walo ward in Mon town, on July 18.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC lauded the Walo ward for their active participation in making the market become a reality, saying it was an auspicious day for the Walo ward as well as to the whole community in Mon town, a DIPR report stated.

Short speeches were also delivered by the superintendent of police, Mon, Imnalensa; KNSK president Lomei; and Walo ward president Tongang Konyak. The programme was chaired by the SDO (C) sadar and administrator of Mon Town Committee Chumlamo Humtsoe.

The report further stated that the inaugural programme was observed with strict compliance to safety measures as per government guidelines.
