MOKOKCHUNG — Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Thsuvisie Phoji, has issued a travel advisory, restricting vehicular movement along the NH-61 (old NH-2) from APMC Wokha to Doyang Bridge (Mokokcung Road) with effect from 4 pm on May 11 to 7 am on May 13, in view of a landslide on the stretch of the road.
It said this is needed to facilitate safe removal of rock debris which is lying dangerously on the road stretch, posing a risk to the life and safety of the travellers.
Medium and light vehicles plying on Wokha-VK-Mokokchung route have been advised to take the diversion road of ‘O’ Point-Wokha-Doyang-Sungro-Mamongtong-Alichen during the restricted period.
