DC Mokokchung inspects Covid Hospital

Mokokchung, May 30 (EMN):
The deputy commissioner and DTF chairman of Mokokchung, Limawabang Jamir, along with the superintendent of police (SP) Vishal and other officials visited the District Covid-19 Hospital at Mokokchung town to take stock of the prevailing situation on Sunday.

The team was accompanied by the chief medical officer (CMO) Dr. R Chubla Aier and the superintendent of IMDH Dr. Limatula Aier.

The deputy commissioner interacted with the doctors and healthcare workers on duty and discussed issues confronting the officers and staff in the battle against the deadly virus. Jamir also observed that the frontline workers were discharging their jobs well and motivated them to be more dedicated in their duties during such perilous time.

Jamir also appealed to the citizens to restrain themselves from unnecessary movement/ venturing outside/ home visitation unless it is an emergency case in order to flatten the curves of surging Covid-19 cases in the district.

Meanwhile, minister of Rural Development Metsübo Jamir has donated a 20 kv Kirloskar Generator to the District Hospital Mokokchung on May 30.  It was donated in the presence of DC Limawabang Jamir, SP  Vishal, CMO Dr. R Chubala Aier, MS Dr. Limatula Aier by the minister’s personal secretary.

The DC Mokokchung has acknowledged the minister for providing the much-needed generator towards the hospital.

Meanwhile, the deputy commissioner of Mokokchung, Limawabang Jamir, informed that the district task force for Covid-19 would be conducting an active case finding for Covid-19 in all the wards from May 31 to June 1. In this regard, all the citizens are directed to remain at home and refrain from venturing out unless for medical and other emergencies. He also appealed to the citizens to cooperate with the medical department and the respective ward authorities for the smooth conduct of the exercise.
