DIMAPUR — In anticipation of the 18th Lok Sabha election, a district-level meeting with all political parties was held on Monday at the DC conference room, Mokokchung.
According to a DIPR report, deputy commissioner (DC) and district election officer (DEO), Mokokchung, Thsuvisie Phoji, presided over the meeting.
He briefed all members present about the importance of preparing for the upcoming election and requested enhanced coordination and cooperation between all political parties. He also stated that the model code of conduct (MCC) will become operational once the election date is announced.
He requested that all the political parties strictly abide by the guidelines for ensuring a free and fair election.
