Dimapur, Oct. 12 (EMN): The deputy commissioner of Longleng has sealed house no-34 at Shayung ward in Longleng in view of the detection of a Covid-19 positive case. The building has been sealed for 48 hours in order to contain the spread of the disease for necessary tracing.
All movement of person or vehicle in the sealed area is strictly restricted under active surveillance with effect from the date of sealing.
Another order by the DC Longleng observed that shops, business establishments and the public have been violating unlock guidelines issued by the government from time to time as measures to contain and control the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19), a DIPR update stated. Non-compliance violation of such directives /guidelines issued by the government is an offence under section 51(b) of the Disaster Management Act 2005 and also under Section-188 of Indian Penal code.
All shops, business establishments and all concerned in the district have been notified to strictly adhere to the following guidelines with immediate effect. Necessary actions as per existing provisions of the law shall be initiated against those violating these guidelines.
• Compulsory wearing of face cover/mask in public places.
• Provisions for hand sanitisation / hand wash for customers/ workers / employees in shops and business establishments.
• Social distancing in shops/business establishments and other public places.
• Social distancing in vehicles (public and private).
• Proper sensitisation of door knobs/handles in shops / business establishments and other public places.
