DIMAPUR — The deputy commissioner of Longleng, Dharam Raj, on January 30 inaugurated the Nagaland Rural Bank (NRB), Sakshi branch, in Longleng district and flagged-off the ATM van.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC spoke on the importance of banks and the impact it has on daily life. He called upon the people to fully utilise the facilities available before them.
He added that the public and banks must coexist for the uplift of the society, stated a DIPR report.
During the programme, welcome address was delivered by the president of Sakshi Association, Esham Phom, while a folk song was presented by Yimchong women and the recorded message of V Venkata Narayan, chairman of Nagaland Rural Bank, was played to the participants.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by NRB branch manager of Sakshi, Nilopu Zhimomi. The programme was attended by government officials and public leaders.
