DC Kohima outlines ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ activities

DIMAPUR — The Deputy Commissioner of Kohima, in accordance with a letter from the Home department of Nagaland, has outlined a timeline and actions in support of the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative.

The DC notified that from August 9 to the 13th, all concerned are to change their display pictures. Government offices, establishments, schools, and colleges are to begin hoisting the national flag.

All government offices, establishments, schools, and colleges have been urged to take the Tiranga Pledge and upload a selfie. They are also required to participate in the Tiranga Canvas by writing “Har Ghar Tiranga” or “Jai Hind” and to pay Tiranga tributes to bravehearts and freedom fighters. This includes contributions from the District Enforcement Force and all security agencies.

From August 12 to the 13th, rallies and yatras involving sports persons will be organised by the district sports officer, DEF, all security agencies, schools, and colleges. Telecom agencies will send SMS reminders to ensure that the flag is hoisted.

From August 13 to the 15th, all households under the Kohima Municipal Council, Chiephobozou Town Council, and all RD blocks have been urged to hoist the national flag at home. All concerned are also encouraged to upload a Tiranga selfie on harghartiranga.com.

In this regard, all concerned departments, schools, colleges, and establishments have been directed to make the necessary arrangements to conduct the aforementioned activities.

Furthermore, departments requiring flags for distribution to households may procure them from the Development Branch of the DC office in Kohima, based on their requirements, it said.
