DIMAPUR — Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Kumar Ramnikant, has informed that alternate routes have been identified for heavy vehicles carrying essential commodities and fuel for Kohima district.
According to a DIPR report, the DC, in an advisory, stated that this is to ensure the continued supply of essential commodities and fuel following landslides that affected portions of NH-29 on the intervening nights of September 3 and 4, resulting in the blockage of the highway.
The alternate routes are Jorhat-Mariani-Tsutapela Nagaland Gate-Tsurangkong-Longtho-Longnak-Changki-Chungtia-Mokokchung-VK-Wokha-Tseminyu-Kohima and Merapani-Bhandari-Baghty-Sanis-Doyang bridge-Wokha-Tseminyu-Kohima (up to 10 tonnes only).
