Dimapur, July 17 (EMN): The deputy commissioner of Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie Sote inaugurated the newly constructed golden jubilee alumni basketball court at Loyola Higher Secondary School, Jakhama on Saturday.
An update from DIPR stated that the DC during the inauguration programme thanked the alumni association for contributing towards the construction of the basketball court. Sharing his experiences, he stated that he learned the values of life from the school and urged the gathering to help not only the school and the students but also the larger society as well.
Earlier, Principal of LHSS, Fr. Victor D’Mello SJ delivered the welcome address while the principal of St. Paul School Phesama, Rev. Fr. Charles D’Souza SJ, invoked God’s blessings.
Dr. Hovithal Sothu presented the project report of the construction, while Ali’s Odirenla, Co-Convenor of LHSS Alumni Association chaired the programme.
