DC Kohima enforces Covid-appropriate behaviour

Dimapur, April 19 (EMN): Deputy Commissioner of Kohima Gregory Thejawelie has directed the public to practice Covid-appropriate behaviour, especially wearing of masks in public places and practicing social and physical distance.

 In an order issued on Monday, the DC has instructed organisers of social, academic, entertainment, cultural, political, religious functions, shops, markets, restaurants, hotels, business establishments, government and private offices, educational and religious establishments, public transport under Kohima district to strictly enforce Covid appropriate behaviour of mandatory wearing of masks, hand hygiene and maintaining physical distance.

All gatherings outside the containment zone, which is permissible, shall be limited to 50% of the seating capacity or 200 persons, whichever is lower, an update form DPRO Kohima informed.

 Thermal Screening has been made mandatory for all gatherings.

In the case where the number of persons is more than 200 in open spaces, prior permission of the DTF shall be taken by e-mail/ WhatsApp to warroomkohima@gmail.com or 8413097970.
