DC Kiphire directs officials to be in station

DIMAPUR — The deputy commissioner (DC) and district election officer (DEO) of Kiphire, Temsuwati Longkumer, has urged all the head of departments to ensure their staff to remain in station and attend the upcoming training for polling personnel.

The DC stated this during a meeting held at DPDB hall in Kiphire town on Friday to discuss on the upcoming Lok Sabha election. He also informed the HOD to submit the attached vehicle as directed by the chief election officer (CEO).

Apart from election matters, the DC stated that departments signing an MOU with the villages regarding any developmental programme should be made with the knowledge of district administration in order to avoid discrepancies in future.

Speaking in the meeting, the superintendent of police, Kiphire, reminded the staff enlisted for flying squad team and static surveillance team to remain alert and report to administration in case of any emergency.
