DC inaugurates Atal Tinkering Lab at GHSS Peren
Dimapur, April 8 (EMN): The deputy commissioner of Peren, Sentiwapang Aier, inaugurated the Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) in Peren town on April 8. The DC, who is also the chairman of school managing board, simultaneously launched the platinum jubilee of the school as the special guest.
The Atal Tinkering Lab, a flagship initiative of the Atal Innovation Mission of the government of India under NITI Aayog, was established and mentored by Unit of Science and Educational Development (UNISED)-IIT, Kanpur, in collaboration with Samagra Shiksha, Nagaland, a DIPR report stated.
Speaking at the inaugural programme, the deputy commissioner stated that GHSS Peren was fortunate to have the Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) and added the school is doing fine despite the limited infrastructure. He also congratulated the school management and administration for taking up the initiative to establish such useful schemes in the school for the benefit of the students.
Aier urged the student community and the teachers to make full use of the facilities to become future innovators and further encouraged them to be more passionate in their quest for knowledge.
Short speeches were delivered by ADC Peren, deputy mission director of Samagra Siksha and ADEO Peren, while unveiling of jubilee logo was done by ADC Peren, Keyirangding Hegui.
Earlier, the special guest inaugurated and inspected the laboratory room, followed by the dedicatory prayer pronounced by the pastor of Peren Town Baptist Church, Haiku Nza.
