DC Dimapur warns of unauthorised Aadhaar registration

Dimapur, May 2 (EMN): The Dimapur district administration has informed that ‘numbers of unauthorized Aadhaar enrolment centre has come up in the district without prior approval of the government charging huge amount of money from the citizens and also capturing biometric for those without proper documents such as suspected IBLs & also residents of Assam.’The deputy commissioner’s office issued a press release on Tuesday stating: “Therefore, all such Aadhaar enrolment centres are directed to obtain prior permission from the state registrar & commissioner Nagaland.
“All the citizens of Dimapur are also requested to report to the authority if any such centres are operating in the locality as Aadhaar enrolment is supposed to be free (except for correction).”
