DC Dimapur talks economics and politics with students

Dimapur, Sep. 20 (EMN): The deputy commissioner of Dimapur, Sushil Kumar Patel visited the St. Joseph’s University in Dimapur on September 18 to deliver a lecture to students of political science and economics.
A statement from the college on Thursday informed that Patel spoke on the broad topic of ‘The Indian Economy’ sharing with the students the different types of economic ideas; and based on which the economic system of a country is established.

“He revealed the vital features and the working principles of the Indian economy and also the important economic terms. He also explained the various important terms associated with the discipline of economics and political science and how these terms are inter-related with one another.

He also shared about the important banking concepts and how vital the banking sector is to any economic system for a thriving and growing economy.
“In a nutshell the guest speaker dealt with the broad topic of economic system in general as well as in Indian context.

The speaker also highlighted the important economic statistical reports, which clearly portray the health of the Indian economy…towards the concluding part of the lecture the speaker addressed several questions raised by eager students of political science and economics departments,” it informed.
