DC Dimapur issues travel advisory for enabling road construction

Dimapur, Nov. 18 (EMN): Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan has notified that there will be closure of road from Thakhehu block-7 gate to Selouphe junction and upto 1 km towards Greenpark from 8 pm to 6 am from November 19 to November 29. This restriction has been necessitated to allow the PWD(R&B) department to complete the ongoing project of construction and widening of road from NH-29 (Sovima village gate)-Sovima Cricket Ground upto Thahekhu village.

In a separate notification, the DC also informed that there would be total restriction of all movement from Chathe River Bridge (Patkai Bridge) to Kukidolong from 7 am on November 22 till 5 am on November 23 for enabling construction of the four-lane road. Public has been advised to take the alternative route from Dimapur – Kohima / Kohima —Dimapur for light vehicles only via 7°’ Mile — New DC office — Shokhuvi — Razaphe-Mhaikam — Pimla —Mhainamtsi — Jhornapani/Medziphema and vice versa
