Dimapur, May 5 (EMN): In view of the rapid surge in Covid-19 cases in the district, the deputy commissioner of Dimapur, Rajesh Soudararajan, has issued instructions for strict adherence by all concerned.
In an order, the DC stated that all officers, staff and visitors to the office of the deputy commissioner of Dimapur should mandatorily wear face masks, practice social distancing and hand hygiene at all times. It added that no visitors would be allowed entry for the purpose of selling any items of handicraft, tickets, calendar, badges etc.
It also stated that only authorised vehicles would be allowed entry into the office complex of the deputy commissioner, Dimapur, while all other vehicles should be parked outside the complex.
It informed that there would be no public interview on Wednesday and Saturdays except for matters of very urgent nature and matters concerning law and order. Public visiting hours have also been set between 11 am and 1 pm from Monday to Friday except Wednesday.
It stated that no visitors would have access to any file or noting from any file except through laid down procedure of the RTI Act. It added that authorised officers/ staff/ dealing assistants/ peons would be accountable for safe custody and proper handling of files and records.
It further informed that Aadhar correction/ enrolment, issue of ST/ Indigenous certificate, society registration/ renewal would remain temporarily suspended. In this regard, the SDO (C) establishment has been entrusted to coordinate for effective adherence to those instructions.
In a separate statement, the DC Dimapur has ordered sealing of Union Bank of India, Dimapur, for 48 hours from the date of issue of this order and directed the management to undertake necessary sanitisation measures of the premises during the period.
It further cautioned that any person found violating the containment measures would be penalised as per the provisions under Section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act 2005 besides legal action under Section 188 of the IPC.
