Dimapur, Oct. 15 (EMN): As a measure to prevent the spread of Covid-19, the deputy commissioner and chairman of district disaster management authority (DDMA), Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan, has ordered temporary sealing of A-Khel at Diphupar village, opposite Central Jail, Dimapur, with immediate effect till further order.
Quoting the order, a DIPR report on Thursday stated that any person violating the containment measures would be liable to be prosecuted as per the provisions under section 51-60 of the Disaster Management Act 2005 besides legal action under section-188 of the IPC.
The demarcated areas included colony approach road in the north, Niuland road in the south, government high school road in the east and NH 29 in the west.
In a similar notification, the deputy commissioner of Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant has ordered sealing of houses with immediate effect. The sealing order was issued to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and for public safety, a DIPR report stated.
It stated that no authorised entry or exit from the sealed houses would be allowed during the sealed period. All occupants of the sealed houses are directed to abide with the health safety measures issued by the government from time to time in relation with Covid-19 pandemic.
The order also stated that essential goods and needs for the occupants of the sealed houses should be arranged by the ward, sector or colony concerned.
The sealed houses included House No. 68 at Officers colony A (RP Gate) and House No. 2 and East wind hotel both from Bazaar A.
It further warned that violation of the above notification would invite legal actions as per provision of the law.
