DC Chümoukedima donates children's books to ‘The White Owl Book Lounge’

DIMAPUR — In a heartening display of community support, Deputy Commissioner of Chümoukedima, Abhinav Shivam and his wife have donated 500 children's books to The White Owl Book Lounge.

Alongside the generous donation, the duo also sponsored the library memberships of 10 adults and 10 children for six months. “The couple is passionate about spreading the culture of reading. In 2020, with the help of some friends, they established a library in Phek,” an update stated.

Meanwhile, The White Owl Book Lounge extended a warm invitation to genuine readers looking for a place to read or study to take up the sponsorship. The White Owl also urged parents to embrace the opportunity on behalf of their children.
