Dimapur, July 29 (EMN): The Dimapur district administration has directed members of the public residing at the stretch between Purana Bazaar and Chumukedima not to construct buildings or permanent structures within the range of 13 metres from the centre of the road on both sides. A press release from DC Dimapur on Saturday informed that this combined length of 26 metres should be “left totally for right of way for development of road”. The order noted that ‘buildings and permanent structures’ were coming up on both sides of the road along said stretch.Such activities, the DC noted, were likely to encroach upon the right of way and disturb the proposed construction of 4-lane road. “Failure to comply with this order will attract strict legal action as per the Nagaland Eviction of persons in unauthorized occupation of Public Land (Amendment) Act 1978”, it warned.
