Dimapur, Sep. 22 (EMN): Don Bosco Higher Secondary School (DBHSS), Kohima, organised a Science and Art exhibition on September 21 with Thejakhrielie Sekhose, director of SCERT, as the special guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Sekhose appreciated the school authorities for organising such an event and stressed that creativity should be instilled among the students at school-level.
He also underlined the importance of organising such event in order to provide opportunity for students to display their talents, curiosity and widen their horizon on the subjects. He concluded his speech by quoting a verse from the Bible “to seek the kingdom of God first and to have fear of God in their hearts.”
The exhibits were showcased by students from Classes III to XII ranging from paintings, crafts, photography, models and art, an update from the school principal Fr James TP stated on Sunday.
Judges of the exhibition were invited from Mount Hermon Higher Secondary School, Bayavu High School, Baptist High, Khedi Baptist Higher Secondary School, and Christ King Higher Secondary School.
Fr. James TP, the school principal, welcomed the gathering, while Fr. Innocent P, vice principal, proposed the vote of thanks. Shaji and Mr Diako were the organisers of the event.
