The inaugural programme of the annual sports meet of Don Bosco Higher Secondary School (DBHSS) was held at the school premises with Major Benny Jacob Thomas, 29 Assam Rifles, Dimapur as the chief guest.
Recalling his school days, Thomas stated that such events are as important as quality education. He also stated that God fearing students will always succeed in every walk of life. Thomas also advised the students ‘to drill in life is the beginning of discipline which would build ones future and reminded that ‘students are the future generations of the country’.
The programme was followed by inspection of parade by the chief guest, lighting of sports flame, hoisting of the school flag, March past, drill display which was followed by cultural items.
