Rev. Mar Pongener speaking during the convocation programme of Discipleship Bible College on April 6.

Our Reporter
Dimapur, April 6 (EMN):
Discipleship Bible College (DBC), Dimapur, held its 39th convocation programme on Wednesday at the college premises with Rev. Mar Pongener, executive secretary of ABAM as the guest speaker.

A total of 51 students from Master of Divinity (M.Div) and 49 students from Bachelor of Theology (B.Th) have graduated this year.

Speaking on the occasion, Pongener congratulated the students for successfully completing their studies and encouraged them to remember the motto of the college “To disciple the nations” in their mission.

He also reminded the graduating students on various challenges and difficulties which they might face in their ministry. He, however, encouraged them not to get disheartened but heed to their calling.

He also encouraged them to read the Bible daily as many theologians tend to forget the importance of reading the Bible once they leave their studies.

He advised the students to forget about the poor facilities they might face in life but look to God saying, “He will provide with all the needs. Humble yourself and never have the ‘Holier than you’ attitude.”

In conclusion, he stated that a disciple should be humble and proclaim the good news.
