DIMAPUR — The Dimapur Ao Youth Organisation (DAYO) congratulated former DGP of Nagaland, T John Longkumer, on his appointment as the State Election Commissioner.
In a note, the DAYO stated that Longkumer, having engaged with all sections of society during the few years of his posting in Nagaland prior to retirement, is recognised and appreciated for his dedication, outreach efforts, and pursuit of peace and harmony.
It stated that the DAYO recognises the trust placed in him by the state government as he assumes this significant responsibility. It also hoped that his commitment to inclusivity and community engagement, combined with his extensive experience as an upholder of law and order, would contribute to the efficient and fair conduct of Nagaland’s ULB elections and other responsibilities.
“DAYO looks forward to witnessing his continued dynamic leadership in his new role, ensuring positive impact, transparency, and democratic electoral processes for the benefit of the state,” it read.
