DAYO concert: M SONIC hits centre stage with sufi and rock music

Dimapur, Aug. 6 (EMN): Hundreds of music lovers attended the free concert organised by Dimapur Ao Youth Organisation (DAYO) on the theme ‘Nagaland for Peace and Harmony’ at DDSC stadium in Dimapur on Saturday.

The headliner, M SONIC band hit the centre stage and enthralled the audience, fused with sufi and rock music.

Coloured Keys trio kick-started the concert with their folk tunes, before Samuel Konyak enthralled the audience with Konyak love songs and Vinika Yepthomi added variety by performing popular Bollywood songs.

Various artistes including Tiameren Aier, Projection Crew, DGP Band and Mahila Band performed at the event.

Earlier in the programme, Rev. Dr Wati Aier, Convenor of FNR, said the invocation prayer.

DAYO president, Tia Longchar said in his welcome speech that they had witnessed unity and diversity, and urged the gathering to continue living in peace and harmony.

While requesting everyone to seek for peace and harmony, he assured that DAYO would continue to uphold its motto “Unity and justice” not only among the Ao community but also for all the communities in general.

He also thanked the 11 legislature from the Ao community, the administrator, police, patrons and well-wishers.
