Dimapur, July 17 (EMN): The first Summer Cricket Tournament, organised by Knight Runners Club of Ekranipathar, Dimapur was held in Ekranipathar village play ground on 14 to 17.
Nine teams from Ekranipathar, Dubagaon, Eralibill, Samaguri, Darogapathar, and Padampukhuri villages of east Dimapur participated in the three-day tournament. This was stated in an update from the president of Knight Runners Club.
President Minority Wing NPF central, Bishnu Bhattacharjee attended the final match and closing ceremony as the guest of honour.
In the final match, Darogapathar team made 102 runs losing 4 wickets in 10 overs. Chasing a target of 103 runs to win, Dubagaon team were all out for just 38 runs. Darogapathar cricket team won the match by a huge margin and was declared champions of the tournament.
