DIMAPUR — Nagaland State Dairy Cooperative Federation Ltd. (NSDCF), Kohima, and Nagaland Livestock Development Board (NLDB) jointly conducted a one-day dairy farmers training Programme on April 24 at Dairy Farm Complex, Lerie, Kohima. The programme was sponsored by Rashtriya Gokul Mission (RGM), Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, government of India.
An update from NSDCF stated that the programme was chaired by Zapove Swuro, NSDCF project coordinator, and the keynote address was delivered by Dr. K Gwirie, NLDB project director.
During the technical session, Dr. Keduzol Ltu, NLDB project coordinator, spoke on ‘Fertility management,’ while Dr. Tuolie Peseyie, plant manager, spoke on ‘Clean milk production.’
It was followed with hands-on demonstration and distribution of kits to the dairy farmers.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Akhriebou Makritsu, NSDCF project officer.
