A daily wage earner found dead in Kohima

Kohima, May 12 (EMN):
A 45-year-old daily wage earner from Bihar was found dead on Tuesday morning, May 12 at a construction site near T Khel Market in Nagaland’s capital city Kohima.

The deceased has been identified as Jaynath Ram alias Jaganath Ram from Shekhapurwa Pasauni Kapar village under East Champaran district in Bihar. He was residing with his son and a friend in a rented house at Lower PR Hill, Kohima.

Confirming the incident to Eastern Mirror, the officer in-charge of Kohima South Police Station, Khrielie Thaprü said that the dead body was found floating on a lake near T Khel Market.

According to the officer, the deceased was said to have gone for work on May 11. In the evening, at round 7 pm, he left his rented home without informing his roommates (his son and a friend).

The cause of death is yet to be ascertained as the dead body has been taken for post-mortem and its result is awaited. No FIR has been filed in connection with the incident till the time of filing this report.
