CYO sports meet: MTYO trounce Rüzaphema to lift football title

DIMAPUR — The 52nd sports meet of Chakhroma Youth Organisation (CYO) concluded Chümoukedima local ground on Saturday, with Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, Kevithuto Sophie, as special guest of the closing ceremony.

In men’s football final, Medziphema Town Youth Organisation (MTYO) trounced Rüzaphema Village Youth Organisation (RVYO) 5-1, to lift the champions’ title.

The champions and runner-up were awarded cash prize of INR 80,000 and INR 50,000, respectively.

Individual prizes for the best goalkeeper went to Merhülhouvi Savino of RVYO, best defender to Vimezo Tsükrü of Medziphema-A Village Youth Organisation, and top scorer to Komezo Kuotsu of MTYO.

Player of the tournament was awarded to Vimegolie Kire of MTYO.

In the men’s volleyball, Medziphema-A Village Youth Organisation emerged champions by defeating Tenyiphe-1 Village Youth Organisation and received cash prize of INR 30,000 along with trophy, while the runner-up team received INR 20,000 along with trophy.

The best player was awarded to Metsivi Neikha of Tenyiphe-1 Village Youth Organisation.

In the women’s volleyball, Vidima Village Youth Organisation (VVYO) lifted the winning title by defeating Tsiepama Village Youth Organisation.

The champions received cash prize of INR 30,000 along with trophy and the runner-up received INR 20,000 along with trophy. The best player title was awarded to Ketoulhouno Zhotso of VVYO.
