Cyclonic storm damages many houses in Manipur

Imphal, April 28 (EMN): A cyclonic storm accompanied by squall once again hit Imphal on Sunday, damaging many houses. However, no causality was report till the filling of this report.
A sudden squall with wind speed reaching 50-60 km per hour came from the south western side in Imphal town affected vehicular movement and passersby for about 20 minutes.
Rooftops of houses, hostel and other structures were carried away in many areas in the state.
The windstorm recurred after a similar storm hit the state on April 15 morning, claiming lives of three women and rendered homeless to many.
According to Indian Meteorological department, the thunderstorm accompanied by strong wind may take place at the isolated places of Manipur in the next two days.
