Dimapur, February 7
SASRD, Nagaland University, Medziphema Campus organized a Cycle Rally on February 5 to commemorate the Silver Jubilee celebration of the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (NAAS), with student from St. Francis De Sales School, Medziphema Govt. Higher Secondary School and SASRD staff and students. The rally was flagged off by W. Manpai Phom, SDO (Civil) Medziphema at SASRD Zero Point after the invocation prayer by Prof. L. Daiho and culminated at the Medziphema Local Ground for the flag-in ceremony which was chaired by Dr. J. Longkumer, Students’ Welfare Incharge. Prof. M. Aleminla Ao, Dean & Pro-Vice-chancellor Incharge, SASRD highlighted the theme of NAAS which is on the importance and the need of spreading Agricultural Education, Research and Extension. W. Manpai Phom, SDO (Civil) also exhorted the gathering by emphasising on the importance of agriculture and its impact on our lives. The vote of thanks was delivered by Vekhoyi Tetseo, Assistant Registrar, SASRD.
