Dimapur, Jan. 7 (EMN): With the objective to promote Naga wrestling, the Chakhesang Wrestling Association (CWA) has convened a consultative meeting on January 14 at the auditorium hall of Mt. Sinai Higher Secondary School (MSHSS), Ministers’ Hill, Kohima, at 10:30 am.
CWA general secretary, Kuzhovesa Soho, stated that the consultative meeting was aimed at obtaining the members’ mandate for introduction of various new features and to provide a platform to the young wrestlers to train at the national and international arena.
The release also stated that minister of Planning and Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs, Neiba Kronu, would host the day-long meet.
It also stated that the meet would witness a power point presentation on way forward by its president Vekhozo, followed by speeches from Neiba Kronu, MLAs Kuzholuzo Nienu and Dr. Chotisuh Sazo.
The CWA has invited all Chakhesang legislators, Rajya Sabha MP, one representative from Chakhesang Church Councils/ Associations, all former CWA presidents, present Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) officials from Chakhesang community, CWA officials, two representatives from the CWA affiliated association namely CAWA, CRWA, KKTWA, SWA, PAWA as well as two representatives from Chakhesang frontal organizations including CPO, CSU, CYF, CMA, CHK, PDSA to the meeting.
