Dimapur, July 15 (EMN): Despite newspaper reports clearly quoting the president of the Mothers’ Association of Chumukedima voicing out at the public display of dissent against the legislators on their way from Kaziranga on Friday last, the Chumukedima Town Youth Organisation (CTYO) has claimed that no ‘existing organisation of Chumukedima stood on that very protest’.A press release from the CTYO, while stating that it was not for or against any political party, stated: “It's the total breakdown of law and order, respect for traditional authority and misuse of the name of Chumukedima. The Chumukedima Town Youth Organisation warned (sic) any party or organisation not to organised (sic) any things in an around Chumukedima Town which is directly or indirectly disturbing the peaceful environment of Chumukedima and the public in general” While stating that the protest was organised by NPF members of 4th Ghaspani-I A/c, it warned that such initiatives without permission from the” apex bodies of Chumukedima” in the future would be read as “a direct insult to the peace loving people of Chumukedima”.
