Dimapur, Nov. 29 (EMN): The Chϋmoukedima Town Student’s Union (CTSU) on Thursday express distress at the non-posting of the sociology subject teacher at Chϋmoukedima Govt. Hr. Sec. School (CGHSS) and said that the concern authourity will be responsible for 'any failure in the progress' of the institution.
A press release from the CTSU received here stated that the CGHSS has been functioning without a sociology subject teacher after its former teacher, Mathung Ezung was 'transferred with promotion' and the subsequent vacancy is yet to be filled up.
Saying that the school has been producing cent percent results in the HSSLC exams for the past consecutive years, with the former students securing 'star marks' in the sociology subject and the school considered as one of the best government higher secondary schools in the state, the union said that it is aghast at the negligent behaviour of the concern department.
The union also stated that several appeals have been made on this matter by the school authority and the students' union, however, till date there has been no response from the concern department. The union expressed concern that the examinations are fast approaching and said that the matter should be looked into at the earliest.
"Since the pleading has been done several times, from now on we deem the concern authority responsible for any failure in the progress of the institution," the union stated.
